02 · Pre-flight

Before you start

Read this first

  • Turn the motorcycle off.
  • Keep the inline switch OFF.
  • Do not connect the battery wires yet.
  • Test the full kit before final mounting.
  • Do not install strips near exhaust, engine heat, chain, tires, suspension, or sharp edges.
  • Clean every mounting surface before applying tape.

03 · Installation

Step-by-step setup

  1. Plan the strip locations

    Place the strips around the motorcycle before peeling any tape. Use longer strips for larger visible areas and shorter strips for tighter areas. Make sure all cables can reach the controller cleanly.

  2. Connect the strips first

    Plug all 8 strips into the strip connectors. The controller has 2 output branches, and each branch supports 4 strips. Push every waterproof connector fully together.

  3. Test before mounting

    Keep the strips loose before sticking them down. Connect the red wire to battery positive and the black wire to battery negative. The inline fuse must stay on the positive wire. Turn the inline switch ON and test the lights before final mounting.

  4. Download and connect the app

    Scan the QR code on the back of the controller, download the app, turn the kit on, and connect to the controller. You can also use the RF remote for simple control.

  5. Clean and mount the strips

    Turn the kit OFF again. Clean each mounting area and make sure the surface is dry. Peel the 3M backing, place each strip, and press firmly for 20–30 seconds. Do not stretch, twist, or force the strip.

  6. Mount the controller

    Choose a hidden and protected location. Keep the controller away from direct engine heat and areas where water can pool. Use the controller mounting pad and keep the wiring neat.

  7. Final check

    Turn the kit on and check that all strips light up, colors change correctly, the remote works, the app connects, and all cables are secured away from hot or moving parts.

04 · Common issues

Troubleshooting

Check the battery connection, inline switch, fuse, and connectors.
Check that each waterproof connector is fully pushed in.
Turn the kit off and on, keep phone Bluetooth on, then reopen the app.
Check the battery inside the remote and make sure the kit is powered on.
Check for loose connectors, weak battery connection, or damaged wiring.
The surface may be dirty, wet, oily, or too cold. Clean and dry the surface before mounting.

Safety & waterproof

NYTRON is designed for normal motorcycle outdoor use, including rain and road spray. Do not submerge the controller, connectors, or strips. Avoid pressure washing directly onto electrical parts.

The kit should be installed away from engine heat, exhaust heat, moving parts, sharp edges, tires, chain, and suspension travel.
